CEED receives Three Rivers Environmental Award

CEED was honored with a 1999 Three Rivers Environmental Award in the category of Higher Education. The sixth annual Three Rivers Environmental Awards event, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Environmental Council and Duquesne Light Company, spotlighted winners chosen from 29 finalists in 10 categories who were selected by a panel of judges from over 100 nominations received from across Western Pennsylvania. The purpose of the Three Rivers Awards is to recognize outstanding accomplishments and efforts in the environmental field on a regional level. As part of CEED's award, $1,000 was donated to the Northwestern Pennsylvania Woodland Association (NWPWA), the non-profit environmental organization of CEED's choice.
